Lots of people live and work in Clairemont. Many people also attend a great community college there known as San Diego Mesa College. It’s a great campus, and there are other vocational colleges close by.

Aside from recreation centers and community parks there is Kearney Mesa Bowl. A popular place to host kids parties & events, they also have bowling, billiards, and a sports bar. I remember the Clairemont Mesa Pool as a kid closer to the Bay Ho area. We used to go there to compete against other swim teams in the county. I didn’t particularly like getting into a cold pool so early in the morning, but whatever! It was fun!
Speaking of fun Andre Galvao’s Atos Jiu Jitsu is close by in Kearney Mesa. Learning from a well known practitioner and legend in the sport has never been easier! The subdivision of Bay Park 92110 is a nice area. It’s right up the street from the Mission Bay area. The residents who live there are lucky for their easy access to the water sports and camping Mission Bay affords.

The San Diego community of Clairemont has a history that goes back centuries with the native Americans of the Kumeyaay tribe. They would visit the canyon area while in search of shelter and food.
